Oh boy, it seems the inmates are running the asylum again.
On Friday, investigative journalist Luke Rosiak posted incriminating details showing that E. Jean Carroll’s book — which claims that Donald Trump raped her in the 1990s — has tanked in the sales department.
And that’s despite 149 media appearances on some of the biggest networks on television. Embarrassing, right?

In a Daily Caller piece, Rosiak wrote that “the Carroll book sold a shockingly low 1,900 copies, while the [Brett] Kavanaugh book is the #1 seller in the nation with almost no coverage.”
The book “What Do We Need Men For?” has averaged a dismal 13 sales per show and is ranked No. 3,421 on Amazon. I think I’ve seen vegan cookbooks written in Latin that rank higher on Amazon.

The Kavanaugh book that Rosiak mentioned, “Justice on Trial” — written by Mollie Hemingway and Carrie Severino — documented the chaos surrounding Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegation against then-Supreme Court nominee Kavanaugh and explained the flawed narrative behind the debacle.
That book was not paraded around on national news outlets and still managed to earn the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s best-seller list, selling an astonishing 4,500 pre-orders before the book was released July 9.

Now, that is impressive.
According to Regnery’s Marji Ross in the Daily Caller article, the president of the publisher behind “Justice on Trial,” the remarkable sales figures expose a massive disparity between what the media talks about and what Americans actually care about.
Are you glad Americans aren’t buying E. Jean Carroll’s book?
Ross said that the influence the media thought it had is no longer a thing.
“The mainstream media is clearly more interested in advancing a left-wing narrative than reporting the truth. And when news that doesn’t fit their agenda comes to light — like Mollie and Carrie’s reporting in ‘Justice on Trial’ — they do their best to ignore it or bury it,” Ross said.
“However, the American people see right through that, as is evidenced by the dramatically different sales numbers between these two books,” she told Daily Caller.

In addition, Regnery’s Senior Director of Publicity, Alyssa Cordova, said, “We have not received any interview requests from any of the networks, CNN, or MSNBC.”
“It is surprising that the networks would pass on exclusives and author interviews for the number-one bestselling book in the country about a topic that those same networks were extraordinarily interested in,” Cordova said.

Aside from people simply not believing Carroll’s story, one reason for her low sales numbers could be attributed to her — I’ll be nice here — odd behavior and conflicting messages during her media interviews.
In a Twitter thread, Rosiak points out that Carroll sometimes said Trump raped her and sometimes she said he didn’t.

Media kept promoting Carroll’s book even as she said
–she was raped by Trump
–wasn’t raped
–people think rape is sexy
–book’s point is: speak out
–you shouldn’t speak out
–she didn’t think accusing president or rape would get attention
–Anderson Cooper is ‘fascinating’— Luke Rosiak (@lukerosiak) July 11, 2019
During an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Carroll did indeed say that society believes rape is “sexy,” prompting Cooper to awkwardly cut to a commercial break.
Take a look at the cringe-worthy exchange in the video clip below:

Trump’s crusade against the corrupt and biased mainstream media is working. It’s refreshing to know that leftist pundits can cry about Trump in their expensive echo-chambers and the American people will just laugh, change the channel or turn off the TV.
The effectiveness of the left’s witch hunts and slander campaigns is dwindling day by day.
